Do I need permission to repoint a house in Winchester?
On an unlisted house outside a conservation area, no. On a listed building, yes — the mortar mix and pointing style are part of what is protected. In a conservation area it depends on the extent and on whether an Article 4 direction applies. We check the status before we quote.
Can you work with flint and brick-and-flint in Winchester?
